The Sculptor's Residence
As part of Stockholm Design Week 2020, the now so-called trio Norm Architects, DUX and MENU joined forces once again to open the doors to their exhibition named ‘The Sculptors Residence’ styled by Linnea Ek Blæhr.
Located in the centre of Stockholm in a spacious apartment with high ceilings and beautiful ornamental details, the exhibition payed an homage to the creative ateliers of great artists. Curated with simple furniture, larger sculptural pieces and objets d’art, the place oozed a sense of gallery, home and atelier of an imaginary artist at the same time.
I enjoyed all the texture-rich surfaces of marble, limestone and plaster as well as tactile objects, ink drawings and brushes.

At The Sculptor’s Residence, furniture brands DUX and Menu showcased new designs in their collections, relaunching a series of iconic designs. Together with Norm Architects, DUX looked through the archives and found a handful of designs, some dating back 50 years, to finally presents a collection of revitalised icons during Stockholm Design Week 2020.
I love seeing furniture and new collections set in a homey scene like this. It feels authentic and relatable, and inspires the mind to rethink new ways of decorating at home.
